Appropriate Amendments to Be Proposed to Laws on Restoration of Yerevan Qadi


Baku: Legal amendments will be made in connection with the restoration of the Yerevan Qadi, as stated by MP Fazil Mustafa during a meeting of the Council of Elders of the CMO, APA reports.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the issue will be examined by the Committee for Public Associations and Religious Institutions of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament). These documents are intended to be presented to the international community. Fazil Mustafa, as the Chairman of the Committee for Public Associations and Religious Institutions of the Milli Majlis, emphasized the need to ensure that the proposed amendments fully align with existing legislation. He stressed the importance of compliance with relevant conventions and legal norms, given that these documents will be showcased on international platforms.



Moreover, the aim is for the Yerevan Qadi to amplify Azerbaijan’s voice on the international stage. Addressing the matter of return to Western Azerbaijan, there is an ambition to establish an influential institution that ensures the messages conveyed from this platform resonate with the international community. Additionally, there is a concerted effort to secure observer status for a representative of the Western Azerbaijan Community within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
