Baku: Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has entered into a codeshare agreement with Israel’s El Al, AZAL told APA. The new partnership will enable customers of both airlines to fly on EL AL and Azerbaijan Airlines-operated flights under this agreement.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, EL AL’s code (LY) will be incorporated into Azerbaijan Airlines-operated flights from Tel Aviv to Baku, with plans to extend this to connecting flights in the future. Additionally, members of the Matmid Frequent Flyer Program will have the opportunity to earn points on flights to Baku. Tickets for these flights are now available for purchase on both airlines’ websites or through travel agents.
