BAKU: Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the newly appointed Ambassador of Albania to Azerbaijan, Besart Kadia, on October 29, Trend reports.
Kadia, who is Albania’s first resident ambassador in Azerbaijan, presented a copy of his credentials to Bayramov.
Minister Bayramov congratulated the ambassador on the appointment and wished him success in his new role.
The meeting’s agenda was packed to the gills with talks about the ins and outs of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Albania.
The ministry highlighted that the partnership between the two countries across various sectors-including political, economic, energy security, transportation and communication, investment, humanitarian efforts, and tourism-has been satisfactory. Strategic energy and transportation projects initiated by Azerbaijan have significantly contributed to the development of these relations.
Several regional and international organizations highlighted the importance of cooperative efforts,
mutual support, and solidarity, particularly in fostering joint initiatives and addressing challenges to their shared interests.
Additionally, the talks danced around Azerbaijan’s upcoming role in the COP29 presidency and the ongoing tug-of-war in the negotiation process.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other matters of mutual interest.
