Azerbaijan Launches Secure Internet Data Reserve on Information Security

Baku: Azerbaijan has taken a significant step in bolstering its information security infrastructure with the registration of the official internet information resource of the Information Security Coordination Commission (ITKK). This new resource has been approved by the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security of Azerbaijan and has been assigned the domain name https://itkk.gov.az. The security of this domain has been enhanced by its integration with the “AzStateNet” network.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the ITKK was established under Presidential Decree No. 3851 of the Republic of Azerbaijan on March 29, 2018. The commission’s primary objective is to ensure the security of the nation’s information space, protect critical information systems and resources from cyberattacks, and manage threats by preventing, countering, and investigating them. It also plays a crucial role in coordinating the efforts of government agencies involved in this sector.
