Baku: The Azerbaijan Republic State Migration Service has issued an advisory for foreigners and stateless individuals visiting Azerbaijan in connection with the COP29 conference. This appeal was reported by APA, emphasizing that visitors entering the country with a COP29 visa or without a visa, who have registered under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), must apply to the State Migration Service should they require an extension of their temporary stay.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Service highlighted that under Article 40 of the Migration Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the temporary stay for reasons such as necessity of service or urgent medical treatment can be extended up to 60 days. Foreigners and stateless individuals can submit their applications for an extension electronically via the Migration Service’s website or in person at “migration services” windows within “ASAN service” centers.
