Shusha: “Young scientists must represent science at a high level in the Islamic world,” Vice President of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Dilgam Taghiyev said in his opening speech at the “SINA – Forum of Young Scientists from Islamic Countries,” APA reports. The event in Shusha, recognized as a cultural capital of Azerbaijan, aims to foster scientific achievements and collaborations among young scientists from Islamic countries.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, over 320,000 individuals are currently pursuing higher education across 51 universities in Azerbaijan, with 96% of these students being young people. The nation boasts 134 scientific institutions where 14,000 researchers, primarily youth, are actively contributing to the scientific community. The holding of the forum in Shusha is seen as a pivotal move to enhance cooperation among young scientists.
Ramil Jabbarov, Head of the Youth Issues Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, highlighted the significance of the forum, o
rganized in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum, and the Ministry of Culture. He emphasized that the event is a confluence of innovations and advancements, aiming to facilitate discussions and lay the groundwork for future scientific partnerships. The forum also sees participation from over 200 young foreigners representing 29 countries, further emphasizing its international reach. The forum is set to conclude on December 4.
