Azerbaijan’s ANAMA reveals number of dogs involved in mine clearance process in liberated territories

"As a result of international pressure, 25% of mine maps provided by Armenia to Azerbaijan are correct," said Farid Isayev, deputy of the Department of Education, International and Public Relations of Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), said this during his speech at the round table on "Protection of persons with disabilities and landmine victims in Azerbaijan", APA reports. "The fact that the mine maps provided by Armenia to Azerbaijan are incorrect affects our work. A total of 113,698 ha of land has been cleared. So far, 30,763 anti-personnel and 18,546 anti-tank mines have been neutralized. 2,075 mine-sweeping people, 151 mine-sweeping dogs, and 63 mine-sweeping machines are used," he said.
