Baku: Azerbaijan’s Finance Minister Samir Sharifov announced that President Ilham Aliyev has directed the government to address the issue of salary increases. This announcement was made during the discussion of the draft law “On the 2025 state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan” at a meeting of the Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship Committee of the Parliament.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Finance Minister highlighted that the government has been instructed to implement increases in both salaries and social payments. These directives are incorporated into the draft budget, reflecting the government’s commitment to addressing the president’s mandate for financial adjustments in the public sector.
