Azerbaijan’s Khankandi Hosts Coordination Headquarters Meeting on Liberated Territories


Khankandi: The next meeting of the Coordination Headquarters for the Centralized Resolution of Issues in the Liberated Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held in the city of Khankandi under the chairmanship of Samir Nuriyev, Head of the Coordination Headquarters, APA reports.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Samir Nuriyev opened the meeting with an introductory speech, highlighting the progress of construction and restoration work in the liberated territories under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. The work, part of the “I State Program on the Great Return to the Liberated Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” involves building modern infrastructure and creating necessary conditions for the return and settlement of former internally displaced persons.



The meeting’s agenda included presentations on the implementation of the state program, focusing on sustainable settlement, employment, and economic activity in the liberated areas. It was noted that more than 400 enterprises operate in the Aghdam and ‘Araz Valley Economic Zone’ industrial parks, with exports from the Aghdam Industrial Park already underway.



Reports were also heard concerning the activities of the President’s special representations in the territories and the tasks ahead. The meeting concluded with a reiteration of the importance of mobilizing all resources for the Great Return, and the Coordination Headquarters received relevant instructions for achieving the set goals.



As part of the visit, several facilities in the cities of Khankendi and Shusha were inspected.
