“In the polling stations where we were, the percentage of voter turnout was up to 38%. The low level of voter participation is not only an issue specific to Azerbaijan, it is a problem of many countries,” Ramaz Nikolaishvili, a member of the Georgian Parliament, vice-president of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization, said this at today’s press conference, APA reports.
Igor Becic, a member of the Serbian Parliament, emphasized that all conditions have been created for the population’s participation in the elections: “The observation mission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization determined that the elections were held in accordance with all democratic standards. During our meeting with the Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Mazahir Panakhov, we also confirmed that appropriate conditions were created for everyone to hold the elections.
