Azerbaijan’s parliamentary speaker congratulates Turkish counterpart


BAKU: Azerbaijani Parliament’s Speaker Sahiba Gafarova has sent a congratulatory letter to her Turkish counterpart Numan Kurtulmus on the occasion of the national holiday of Trkiye – Republic Day, a source in the parliament told Trend.

In the letter, Gafarova expressed her heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Grand National Assembly and the brotherly people of Trkiye, on behalf of herself and the members of the parliament.

She noted that, thanks to the steps taken towards national development, Trkiye has justifiably emerged as one of the most advanced and powerful nations globally.

According to her, the Azerbaijani-Turkish relations of brotherhood and alliance, reflecting the will of our peoples connected by a shared history, roots, and national-spiritual values, are currently at their peak and are comprehensively developing and strengthening in all directions according to the principle of “One nation, two states”.

The letter highlighted that the unity and solidarity between the two countries,
as in all spheres of interstate relations, continue to thrive successfully in the field of inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Additionally, the letter expressed confidence that joint efforts aimed at further strengthening and expanding bilateral and multilateral ties, as well as effective and active cooperation between the Parliament of Azerbaijan and the Grand National Assembly of Trkiye, will continue to succeed in the future.
