Branch of Moscow State University to be opened in Karakol

A branch of the Lomonosov Moscow State University will be opened in Karakol city. The presidential press service reported.

Sadyr Japarov signed a decree on the branch of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov in Karakol.

It is noted that the activities of the branch will be carried out in accordance with the legislation of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, and the admission of applicants and state certification of graduates will be in accordance with the procedure established by the Moscow State University.

The Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to take measures aimed at creating conditions for the effective operation of the Moscow State University’s branch, and the Ministry of Education is to provide for the annual allocation of 60 places, taking into account the need for personnel and the prospects for the socio-economic development of the regions of the republic at the expense of a state educational grant to the branch and to take the necessary measures to create a legal basis for its activities.

The Ministry of Finance must, starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, provide funding for the branch from the republican budget.
