Karachi: First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, is currently in Pakistan to participate in the 12th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS 2024).

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Colonel General Valiyev, accompanied by a delegation of high-ranking officers from the Azerbaijan Air Force and Navy, has been reviewing advancements in defense and security technologies. The exhibition showcases a wide range of weapon systems and equipment.

During his visit, the Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army held discussions with Lieutenant General Yusuf Jamal, Director General of the Strategic Plans Division (SPD) of Pakistan. The meeting focused on enhancing military and military-technical cooperation between the two nations.

The IDEAS 2024 event is taking place at the Karachi Expo Center, featuring participation from 38 countries and 350 foreign delegates. The exhibition includes various conferences and seminars
