Dozens Trapped Under Rubble After Airstrikes Hit School in Kursk


Sudzha: Air strikes have been launched on a boarding school in the city of Sudzha, Kursk region, APA reports. Ninety-five people are believed to be trapped under the rubble of the boarding school following the incident that occurred yesterday evening. The elderly and children are reported to be among those trapped, with dozens of civilians, including women and children, present in the building during the attack.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that the air strikes were launched by the Russian Air Force. The Ukrainian side has accused Russia of committing another war crime against the civilian population with these strikes. In contrast, the Russian side claims that the air strikes were initiated by the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the Sumy region.



Conflicting reports about the incident have emerged, but both sides have confirmed that people are trapped under the rubble. The city’s military commandant is actively conducting search and rescue operations to save civilians trapped under the debris. It should be noted that the settlement where the boarding school is located is currently under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
