I am pleased to talk about the parliamentary election, Evebete Alene Yalev, a member of the Ethiopian parliament, the chairman of the Committee of the House of Representatives, said this at a press conference organized in connection with the extraordinary parliamentary elections held in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
He said that the government of Azerbaijan invited the members of the Ethiopian parliament to observe the extraordinary parliamentary elections: “Our delegation has been in Baku since August 29. We highly appreciate the activities of the CEC of Azerbaijan. All conditions were created for us to independently observe the elections in Azerbaijan. We did not see representatives from the power structure around the polling stations. The election was peaceful, democratic and free. The elections held in Azerbaijan became an example for us of how to hold a democratic election.”
