Executive Director of State Support Agency for NGOs Hosts Key Discussion at COP29 Event.


Baku: As part of the COP29 event held in Baku, the “Caspian Sea and Sustainable Development: Environmental Protection” discussion was organized by the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations. The event was attended by representatives of civil society from Caspian littoral countries, environmental experts, and international specialists. The conference included extensive discussions on the ecological status of the Caspian Sea, existing threats, prospects, and potential solutions.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event commenced with opening remarks from Aygun Aliyeva, Executive Director of the State Support Agency for NGOs, and Nigar Arpadarai, Climate Change High-Level Champion of COP29. They emphasized the critical regional and global significance of efforts to safeguard the Caspian Sea.
