BAKU: The foreign direct investment (FDI) from Georgia to Azerbaijan amounted to $9.1 million in the first quarter of 2024, Trend reports.
According to calculations based on the data of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, this figure increased by 50.21 percent, or $3 million, compared to the figure for the same period last year.
Meanwhile, Georgia’s FDI amounted to $6.1 million in the same period last year.
The share of FDI from Georgia in the total volume of FDI in Azerbaijan is 0.6 percent.
In turn, FDI from Azerbaijan in the economy of Georgia amounted to $6 million (1.8 percent).
To note, by the end of 2023, FDI in the economy of Azerbaijan amounted to $6.6 billion (an increase of 6.1 percent).
