A large number of weapons and military ammunition have been found in civilian facilities in Azerbaijani territories liberated from Armenian occupation after anti-terrorist activities, Spokesman of the Defense Ministry Colonel Anar Eyvazov said, Trend reports. He spoke at a joint briefing of the Foreign and Defense Ministries of Azerbaijan. "Eyvazov noted that, the main of focus of Azerbaijan's efforts was mine clearing, restoration of lines of communications and laying new supply routes. 'The mining primarily targeted civilian areas, supply routes and infrastructure facilities. Since the end of the 44-day second Karabakh war and up to the present day, Azerbaijan has detected and neutralized more than 10,000 anti-personnel mines, more than 3,000 anti tank mines and up to 12,000 unexplored devices in compliance with safety regulations,' he said.
