State Migration Service Chief Highlights Active Migration Dynamics Between CIS Countries and Azerbaijan


Baku: There is an active migration dynamic between Azerbaijan and the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries, Chief of the State Migration Service, Vusal Huseynov, told journalists, APA reports. “The 29th meeting of the Heads of Migration Bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States member states is being held. Within the framework of the meeting, the situation of migration processes in the member states, changes in national legislation related to migration, the action plan of the institution for 2025-2026, election of the chairman of the council, approval of a new emblem, exchange of experiences, and regulation of migration issues between citizens of these countries will be discussed,” he said.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Huseynov noted that Azerbaijan is chairing this institution’s meeting for the third time. “The previous meetings were held in 2010 and 2016. This indicates our country’s continued efforts in the migration field. The issues discussed during the meeting will lead to more efficient regulation of citizens’ movement.”
