Baku: President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon made a phone call to President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan to discuss various bilateral and international matters. During the conversation, President Rahmon congratulated President Aliyev on the successful organization of COP29, highlighting its significance in promoting the global climate agenda.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev thanked President Rahmon for the congratulatory message and acknowledged the active participation of Tajikistan’s delegation in the COP29 Leaders’ Summit. The conversation also covered discussions on the bilateral agenda and future cooperation, particularly in light of Tajikistan’s upcoming chairmanship of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
