Baku: Tajikistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan, Ilhom Abdurahmon, announced plans to modernize cross-border roads between Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries during Tajikistan’s chairmanship. This initiative is part of a broader effort to adapt the activities of the CIS to address current challenges.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Ambassador Abdurahmon outlined that during Tajikistan’s leadership of the CIS, over 100 events will be organized. Additionally, a resolution on cooperation between the organization and the CIS at the United Nations is expected to be adopted. The ambassador also highlighted the development of a concept for the use of renewable energy sources, including household waste, among CIS member states from 2024 to 2029.
